Canadian Pirates Inc were Canadian based cracking group with BBS boards based in Toronto. We know that from 1987 to 1988 they occasionally teamed up with PTL Club to co-release any titles that came their way. In late 1988 they had a falling out with their member Ribos who broke away. Using a few former CPI members he created the new group KGB and took over the PTL Club partnership.
Interestingly the original founder and leader of CPI, Rod Thacker (aka MadMax) has created a web site dedicated to the group. He and the group is still active in the demo scene to this day.
